We recently were asked an important question by a concerned Los Angeles citizen and are posting it in order to clarify EILA’s mission and values. J.B. writes:

I have a question? people can’t change there ethnicity. . . . so are you just further confusing people asking them if they want to change there ethnicity or encouraging further discontent??

Here is our response:

We at the Ethnicity Institute of Los Angeles believe that it is important for people of all ethnic backgrounds to consciously consider their ethnicity and to arrive at a place of contentment regarding their ethnic identity. Many people today are subconsciously adopting an identity of their choice and some people feel that they do not have a culture. EILA exists to bridge the gap between what is perceived, assigned, and desired in an ethnicity.

People today have the freedom to choose many things that were historically considered impossible. People can change their appearance through cosmetic surgery and they can even change their gender through gender corrective therapy. Now it is time for the people of the 21st century to freely change their ethnicity.
